Utility-filed base-rate cases with performance-based regulation available for major electric utilities
Duke electric cases can include multi-year performance-based rate plans. Other electric and gas utilities use utility-initiated general-rate cases, while fuel, gas-cost, efficiency, and renewable riders are reviewed separately.

State rules
Full base-rate reviews set the broad revenue and return framework. Recurring riders, clauses, and reconciliations can change narrower charges between those reviews. These are governing patterns, not filing-date forecasts.
